My background is rooted in a studio environment with an education built squarely on satiating an internal drive to create work that was worthy of presentation and critique. From the hand crafted to the digitally composed I was fortunate to have been exposed to a broad spectrum of aesthetic disciplines before concentrating on communications and packaging design at the Pratt Institute in New York City where I earned my Master’s Degree in 2006.
Professionally I’ve gravitated to smaller agencies where I’ve been able to wear many hats beyond the typical responsibilities of a creative. I am as confident navigating the turbulent uncertainties of management and pre-production as I am sketching out ideas. Print to digital, there isn’t a type of project I have not had some experience with, no specification, dieline, or printing issue that has not been done in by my focus and accountability.
I enjoy problem solving with paper and pencil in hand and I seek an opportunity to regularly concept. Ideally at a creative studio with an emphasis on ideation, process, and peer review that may allow me to continue to grow. Personal ideal aside know that I am an earnest creative who, on site or off, permanent or part-time, can successfully see a project through, be it bespoke, interpretive, or derivative, from brief to fulfillment and every step in-between.
